The parts of assessing a class that eat your time

Writing questions, marking them, working out who needs help: TestSetGo takes the repetitive work so you can focus on teaching.

Get your evenings back from marking

Multiple choice, true/false, short answer and fill-in-the-blank grade themselves. Only written answers need your eye, and they queue in one place.

How grading works

Write questions from what you taught

Draft a test from your lesson notes, worksheet or slides. Every question is grounded in your material and cites its source, so it matches the lesson.

See exactly who is stuck

Per-question accuracy shows which topics the class misunderstood and the wrong answers they chose, so you know what to reteach.

Support every student fairly

Grant per-student extra time for access arrangements, and use a calm one-question-at-a-time mode for students who need it.

From lesson material

Turn this week's material into a test

Upload a worksheet or slides, or paste your notes, and TestSetGo drafts questions grounded in what you taught, each linked to its source. You review or replace every one before the class sees it.

  • Draft from your notes, worksheet or slides
  • Every question cites its source passage
  • KaTeX maths and images in questions

Grading

Objective questions mark themselves, fairly

Choice, true/false, short-answer and fill-in-the-blank questions grade automatically the instant they're submitted. Written answers go to a manual queue with a frozen marking guide, so every student is held to the same standard.

  • Instant auto-grading for objective questions
  • Written answers queue with a frozen marking guide
  • Overrides and corrections keep an audit trail

Plan the reteach

Know what to go over again

The dashboard shows completion, class average and pass rate, then breaks accuracy down question by question. When most of the class picks the same wrong answer, you see it: a signal to reteach rather than move on.

  • Class average and pass rate at a glance
  • Per-question accuracy and common wrong answers
  • CSV export for your markbook

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is TestSetGo free for teachers?

Yes. The free plan includes 75 responses a month with every question type, sharing option and the full results dashboard. Paid plans start at $19 a month for more responses or team seats.

Do my students need accounts?

No. Students open a link, enter a code or scan a QR code and start. You choose how much identity to collect: anonymous, a first name, or a verified email.

How are written answers marked?

Objective questions grade automatically. Written answers go to a manual queue with a frozen marking guide, so every student is graded to the same standard, and you can override any score.

Can I write maths questions?

Yes. Write formulas in LaTeX and they render cleanly with KaTeX in questions, options and explanations, so equations look right for STEM subjects.

Can I give a student extra time?

Yes. Set a per-student extra-time multiplier for access arrangements, and offer a one-question-at-a-time mode for students who prefer it. Timers are enforced on the server, not just the browser.

Can I reuse a test with a different class?

Yes. Each test can run many times; every run gets its own link, window and results, so last period's class never mixes with the next.

Which age groups is TestSetGo suitable for?

Secondary school, college, university and adult learners. Students under 13 can't take tests on self-serve workspaces — TestSetGo never collects dates of birth, and you can keep identity as light as anonymous or first-name only.
