Pre & post-training assessment

Pre and post-training assessment that shows what changed.

“The session went well” isn't evidence. A pre-training test captures where the group starts; the same test afterwards shows where they finished. The gap is the movement you can show a sponsor.

Same test, two moments

One published test, run before and after

Build the assessment once. Each test runs many times from the same published version, so you start a baseline run before the session and a second run afterwards: identical questions, identical marking, different moment. Nobody rebuilds anything between the two.

  • Build and publish the test a single time
  • A baseline run, then a post-training run
  • Same questions and marking guide across both
How runs work
Low friction for the group

Easy to take twice in a day

A pre/post design only works if people sit both halves. Each run opens from a link with no account, autosaves if interrupted, and reads cleanly on a phone. The baseline runs at the start, the post-run at the end.

  • No accounts, only a link or a code
  • Autosave and resume if they step away
  • Works on a phone in the room

Compare the two runs question by question

Each run has its own dashboard with per-question accuracy. Put the baseline next to the post-run and the shift is plain: a topic at 40% before and 85% after is the one the session moved. Export both to CSV for the report.

  • Per-question accuracy for each run
  • Side-by-side reading shows what shifted
  • CSV export of both runs for your report

How it works

Baseline, train, measure, report

  1. 01

    Run the baseline

Before the session, start the first run and have the group complete it; expect low scores, that's your starting picture.

  2. 02

    Deliver the training

Run the session as normal; the assessment stays untouched, so the post-run tests the same material.

  3. 03

    Run it again and compare

Start a second run of the same published test afterwards, then read the two dashboards side by side and export both to show the movement.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How do I run the same test twice?

Build and publish the test once, then start two runs of it: a baseline before the training and a second afterwards. Both use the same questions and marking, so the results are directly comparable.

Does TestSetGo calculate the pre/post improvement automatically?

No. There's no automated delta chart overlaying the two runs. Each run has its own dashboard and you compare them side by side, reading baseline accuracy against the post-run or lining up the two CSV exports in a spreadsheet.

Should the pre and post tests be identical?

For a clean comparison, yes. Running the same published test twice keeps questions and marking constant, so any change in scores reflects the training, not a different set of questions.

Can the same people be matched across both runs?

If you collect a verified email or a consistent name in both runs, you can match individuals across the two CSV exports. Otherwise you compare the group's overall and per-question results before and after.

Is it free to try?

Yes. The free plan covers 75 responses a month, enough to trial a pre/post design with a small group. Paid plans from $19 a month add volume for larger or repeated cohorts.
