How it works

Blank page to shared quiz in three steps

  1. 01

    Add your questions

Type them straight in, or paste a page of notes and let TestSetGo draft multiple-choice, multiple-response, true/false and short-answer questions from them.

  2. 02

Drop in a link or QR

Publish a link, or put a QR code on a slide so the room can join in seconds, with no sign-ups or logins.

  3. 03

    See who got it

Answers grade themselves as they arrive, and one dashboard shows the average, the pass rate and which questions tripped people up.

Draft it in seconds

Turn a page of notes into a quiz

Paste your notes or upload a document and TestSetGo drafts questions grounded in it, each linked to its source. Keep what fits, bin the rest, and nothing goes live until you approve it.

  • Paste text or upload a document
  • Every draft cites its source passage
  • You approve each question before it publishes

Answers land with an explanation

Attach an explanation to any question and it shows once the quiz is submitted, so a knowledge check doubles as a quick recap. Objective questions score themselves the moment the quiz is submitted, with no marking pile.

  • Explanations on every question type
  • Automatic scoring for objective questions
  • LaTeX maths rendered cleanly with KaTeX

One link, or a code for a group

Send a quiz by link, or open a run for a group with an access code and deadline. Shuffle questions so a shared screen doesn't give the answers away, and add a light time limit.

  • Link, access code or QR entry
  • Optional deadline and gentle time limit
  • Question and answer-order shuffling

Small touches that make a quiz feel finished

Nine question types

Multiple choice through numeric, ordering and matching, plus written answers. Mix them freely.

Images in questions

Add a diagram, chart or photo when a picture asks the question better than words.

Autosave and resume

A closed tab or lost Wi-Fi loses nothing. Answers save as people go.

One question at a time

Choose a single scrolling page, or a focused one-question-at-a-time mode with a progress bar.

Smart short answers

Short-answer responses auto-grade with sensible normalisation, so “ 12 ” and “12” both count as right.

Common wrong answers

See the wrong option people picked most, so you know whether to reteach or reword.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is the online quiz maker free?

Yes. The free plan includes 75 responses a month with every question type, sharing option and the full dashboard; paid plans from $19/mo add volume and team seats, priced by responses not features.

Do people need an account to take my quiz?

No. They open the link, enter a code or scan a QR code and start. You choose how much to collect, from anonymous to verified email, with no TestSetGo signup.

How quickly does a quiz get marked?

Objective questions (choice, true/false, short answer, fill in the blank) grade themselves the moment an answer arrives. Only long answers need a human, and those go to a grading queue.

Can I show the answers after each question?

Yes. Add an explanation to any question and it appears once the quiz is submitted, and you control whether scores and explanations are revealed.

Can I stop people just sharing answers?

You can shuffle question and answer order, add an access code, set a time limit and cap attempts. That's honest deterrence for a low-stakes quiz: no webcam or screen monitoring, and we don't claim there is.

What's the difference between a quiz and a test here?

None technically: it's the same builder. “Quiz” describes a lighter, lower-stakes check; reach for the test or exam maker when you want stricter timing and identity rules.
